Anime-Inspired Rhythm Game Unbeatable Delayed To December, Hours Before Its Launch

Unbeatable is an anime-inspired “arcade-flawless” rhythm sport that was set to launch tomorrow, on November 6, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Collection X/S, and PC by way of Steam. Nevertheless, developer D-Cell Video games has delayed Unbeatable to subsequent month, simply hours earlier than the sport’s launch, citing a progression-blocking bug that it says have to be mounted earlier than launch.

“Unbeatable was supposed to come back out tomorrow,” the announcement on the sport’s Steam web page reads. “That is a scary sentence. This is a worse one: Unbeatable will now launch on December 9. I hate that I’ve to say this. There is not any technique to apologize for it that appears like sufficient. I am personally sorry about this and want it was completely different.”

The delay announcement includes a QA and within the “Why would you solely inform me now?” part, D-Cell responds, “As a result of the choice was solely made just a few hours in the past (No, actually, I am penning this proper after the assembly the place the choice was made). We’re telling you this as quickly as we probably can.”

As for why the very last-minute delay, D-Cell says, “QA hit a low-repro development blocker final night time that is critical sufficient it is thought-about unreleasable,” and that “fixing this may require pushing the console launch date again due to cert timelines, and not fixing that is, properly. We refuse to do this. We’re fixing it.”

As for why the sport is being delayed greater than a month to December 9, it is because of different video games launching over the following month. D-Cell says the workforce had a fairly great place on November 6, “the place we made a small little island for ourselves, and skipping that date essentially means skipping ahead a lot to seek out one other island, and [December 9] is the closest one we had. On the plus facet, it provides us some respiratory room we did not have earlier than to do some pre-launch issues we needed to do this needed to get pushed again due to ending the sport in time for, properly, tomorrow.”

Unbeatable will now launch on December 9 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Collection X/S, and PC.
